Primary role of Avionics Software Safety Lead, with two supporting roles on the team.• Avionics Software Safety Lead: Ensured the software team is developing to meet development assurance levels, including human-certified development. o Developed company software life cycle processes and plans to comply with an internal development standard (which holds some similarity to DO-178). Was a leader on updating the company standards to make safety-critical software. o Developed requirements and design standards and checklists. o Developed and maintained software and avionics system requirements in DOORS. o Worked with the group leads to implement and troubleshoot development plans and processes. This included team training, leading peer reviews, working with the group leads to find solutions to meet project goals, setting up temporary processes and standards as we transitioned into safety-critical development. o Audited the implementation of the software processes to identify gaps in compliance with the internal development assurance standard• BE-4 Controller Systems Engineer: o Developing and maintaining the software, hardware and avionics system requirements in DOORS. o Helped ensure the design and requirements told a consistent story o Reviewed safety analysis including fault tolerant architecture and FMECAs• Avionics Software Safety Focal: o Team representative to bring software concerns up to the mission safety team o Fielded mission safety questions from the team

Project Manager for the ground flight dynamics COTS software for the next generation NOAA GOES-R Series spacecraft. • Led a team of four engineers.• Owned the project schedules, risks, actions, and software issue tracking.• Interfaced with the prime contractor of the contract, government representatives, and spacecraft manufacturer.• Performed requirements analysis and maintenance, conducted formal design reviews and documentation, and system testing.• Designed mathematical algorithms to perform required flight dynamics functions including maneuver planning and mass book-keeping.• Primary software developer for complex flight dynamics software modules.Additional responsibilities within the Flight Dynamics team:• Acting Division Head managing the flight dynamics team.• Presented software demonstrations to prospective customers.• Represented company in several industry conferences.Previous position in the company as a Ground Systems Engineer:• Developed software in Fortran, Python, tcl, and Bash for several missions, including the Galileo constellation, Orbiting Carbon Observatory, and GOES-R series satellites.• Performed system level testing, including internal functionality verification and external requirement verification.• Created flight dynamics software design and requirements documents.• Led a successful Site Acceptance Test campaign for Landsat-8.
