Shawn E Bell is an American author, screenwriter, conservationist, and media god living in Southern California. He is an advocate for preservation, conservation, and good stewardship of the public lands in his home state.Growing up in the Golden State, Shawn spent his summers at camps in the Sierras, hiking through national parks, exploring the deserts surrounding 29 Palms and Joshua Tree, and following the trails within the National Forests.At 16 - with a newly-minted driver’s license - Shawn developed a lifelong love affair with all things automotive. It was easy to fall in love with speed, and he fell hard; 427 Cobras, Corvettes, GT350s, Trans Ams, a handful of Porsches, and a smattering of Ferraris all graced his driveway for a time.But it was an Ice Blue Jeep CJ-7 that dripped oil on his driveway - and refused to stop leaking no matter how many gaskets were replaced - that he ultimately fell in love with. With this trusty Jeep, he revisited all the places where he’d spent the summers of his youth. It never left him stranded, and it was very good about marking its territory.The more he learned, the greater his passion for the outdoors became. Now, Shawn spends every non-writing moment outside exploring the nooks and crannies of all things California.
