My responsibilities currently include managing R&D projects from concept, synthesis, product evaluation, scale-up, and commercialization; all with a high level of customer interfacing and involvement.These projects include an innovative guar replacement technology for hydraulic fracturing, degradable fluid loss and fluid diversion agents, naturally-derived fluid system for hydraulic fracturing, and novel conductivity enhancing proppant coatings.

I currently work on a broad range of projects, typically involving polymer chemistry and advanced materials.

I work with the Synthesis and Special Products groups to develop innovative chemical solutions to the problems faced in the petroleum industry.

I graduated in May 2009 with my Ph.D. in Chemistry, specializing in catalyst design for polymer synthesis.

While working for Dr. F. A. Cotton, I gained invaluable experience in organic and organometallic synthesis of air and moisture sensitive compounds for the goal of a greater understanding of metal-metal quadruple-bonded complexes.While working for Dr. P. A. Lindahl, my research was focused on kinetic and mechanistic aspects of the air sensitive enzyme, Acetyl CoA Synthase/Carbon Monoxide Dehydrogenase through mutagenesis, gene expression, enzyme purification and evaluation.
