I helped out the BrandFusion ad support department by bringing my project management and process improvement skills to bear. My main goal was to maintain constant communication with sales teams, and be on top of all deliverables and timelines, while making sure to flag risks and mitigate any unexpected situations.I worked closely with a core team that brainstormed, pitched and then implemented native content ad campaigns for a variety of brands, including the History Channel, Motorola, Macy's and BIC. By working closely with all facets of production (from design, to creative, to video, to development) I was responsible for making all parts continue to move, on time, and deliver.In addition, I also created stat based performance reports, primarily through Google Analytics, to observe our performance, and help flag any issues before they happened. This also involved the creation and implementation of new processes, as well as documenting their use for the entire team. This included moving to new project management software, streamlining our documentation, exploring new ways to communicate, and following up with all partners to find new efficiencies.

I joined the EA Mobile team as a Project Manager in 2011, which resulted in a prettyinteresting and wild ride. The department went through some fairly massive transitionsduring that time, and my role changed pretty dramatically as I found myself running theday to day activity of the entire group within my first year there.Helped to spearhead the successful launches of multiple high profile mobile titleson iOS and Android. Some pretty sweet games like The Simpsons Tapped Out,Scrabble, Tetris and Mass Effect Infiltrator were worked on by my group, undermy ever watchful eye!With a fairly large group under me, I helped to career manage up to 15 full timestaff as well as over 100 part time testers. My team has had some pretty nicesuccesses, with multiple members being promoted within my group due to theirexcellent work, as well as others shifting their careers into other great roleswithin the industry.I created and maintained the operating budget for my department. Which to behonest, wasn't quite as fun as being the person that would then spend thatoperating budget for my department. Which was also me.While I am still working on the exact scientific formula, my initial calculationshave me adding roughly 78% more Awesomeness to the workplace.Devised a system to track smartphone trends, identify key product launches, andmake strategic acquisitions in order to ensure a wide variety of available deviceswere on hand for my staff.I "sold" our services to production teams worldwide. The challenge here was thatmy group was more expensive than the other regions by a fair amount. But bycreating some promotional material and selling our expertise, we put together apretty compelling case of quality being worth the extra investment.

I initially joined Airborne as a QA Analyst, but that role quickly changed into aProduction position as I became a lot more involved in content management and contentcreation. This proved to be a pretty interesting challenge, but one that I think reallyhelped define what my contributions to the industry could be.Created and scheduled content like a Joke of the Day, Horoscopes, Sports Info andother pieces of news and trivia that would be sent directly to consumer mobilephones. I learned first hand the strange dynamic between content and consumerhere, which actually helped me better understand quite a bit about the industry.Involved in Scrum meetings to identify which products should be greenlit, how weshould approach them, how to sell them to our target markets, and just whatneeded to be done to ship. I helped to spearhead this more formal process ofmoving pitches forward, but also keeping the "free spirit" approach that had beenin place.Analyzing dull sales data and making a quick system to "jazz" it up a bit so that itwas more easily digested by both executives, and partners.

I started my foray into the tech industry as a QA Tester. This really taught me a lot ofimportant analytical skills and attention to detail, as well as giving me a vantage pointinto how the industry worked. I was quickly promoted to a Coordinator role, where Iwould manage the day to day operation of test teams.Ran the QA efforts on high profile titles such as Star Wars The Force Unleashedand Justice League Heroes. Batman and Darth Vader. Boom.Responsible for meeting the target KPIs for my teams and reporting these effortsback to upper management and outside partners. Brought out high success ratesin items such as overall bug count, test plan completion and maintained a low rateon invalid and duplicates issues.Implemented "Fancy Friday". The usual attire in a QA group is... "relaxed".(Mostly you are lucky if the testers aren't wearing pyjamas). I made Friday'sfancy. Dressed it up, brought other people on board, and pretty soon it was fairlywide spread and pretty nice to see. A definite morale booster.
