I am native to Charlotte NC, although I moved to San Francisco in the mid-90’s, I returned in 2004 to a city bursting at the seams. I worked in Recruiting for over 20 years and ready to apply my work experience with my personal passion – To provide folks with amazing local beers, wines and spirits.While my experience may not directly align with a typical sales rep for adult beverage distribution, I know I will be successful! I am a former homebrewer (14 years brewing). My knowledge of microbrewing is extensive, as is my understanding of the demographics within Charlotte Metro. Recruiting is a challenging sales job - Skills that helped me to be successful in recruiting will be key to success in the distribution business.Communication: Listening to what sells, demographics, pain points and understanding timing is critical. I can talk beer with someone that knows about the brewing process and to a novice who doesn’t know an IPA from a Saison.Marketing: Knowing trends, seasonal changes, new players in the area, knowing demographics and aware of the impact the local and national economy has on industry.People: To say I am a people person is an understatement. I can talk with the Queen of England, then turn around and rock out with The Red Hot Chili Peppers. I am agile and understand that not everyone will like what I’m selling, but to find what I have that they like, is key to gaining trust and client satisfaction.
