I led the end-to-end program design, execution, and evolution of a new employee feedback process to make it easier and more efficient for Google employees to exchange impactful, quality feedback for increased performance & development. This is a core component of Google’s new performance management system, GRAD. In this role, I fostered strong relationships and creative problem-solving with subject matter experts across People Operations, legal, and senior leaders, ensuring cohesive design and alignment with HR best practices and senior leaders’ vision over a 2-year project timeline. I led sprints with the product team (PM, UX, Engineering) to implement process design and product requirements. I regularly interacted with stakeholders at the VP, Director, and Senior Manager levels, ensuring that the project aligned with organizational strategy and met the needs of various business functions.

Austin, Texas Metropolitan Area

I was selected to a team of People Operations Program Managers to provide bandwidth to critical HR functions early in the COVID-19 pandemic. This required me to quickly ramp in a new problem space & apply learnings in a fast-paced, high-stakes environment.I determined compensation packages for hundreds of new hire and internal transfer candidates at Google by leveraging market reference point data, and Google’s compensation philosophy, policies, and processes. I partnered with recruiters across all of Google's product areas to ensure that offers where competitive and created in the context of each candidate's expectations and circumstances.

I led learning, leadership training, communications, and employee experience programs that increased production, employee experience, and skill development across Google's Staffing organization. In this role, I led major org-wide initiatives. A few examples of my work in this role include:★ designed, implemented, and facilitated a global leadership development program for hundreds of managers. This culminated in a 3-day in-person retreat focused on the key competencies of managing conflict constructively, building partnerships, and leading with empathy. ★ I directed a team of content creators to create and deliver a comprehensive onboarding program for over 1,000 new recruiters in multiple regions around the world, resulting in a seamless and efficient transition for new hires. ★ I led communication and employee experience initiatives, including the organization's quarterly All Hands, Internal Website & Knowledge Repository, and the Top Manager Award, driving employee engagement, knowledge sharing, and skill development for the staffing team.

I drove hiring production as a top performer across global staffing team as a member of the Bay Area Software Engineering Recruitment Team, with a focus on Technical Infrastructure Engineers. I supported underrepresented hiring across our team by implementing Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DEI) strategy, structured DEI sourcing sessions, and weekly trainings.

I recruited top graduating seniors to Teach For America across a portfolio of 6 colleges and universities by managing a 3-person team, conducting 1:1 recruitment meetings, and executing 45+ on-campus marketing events (e.g. info-sessions, panels, and issue-based discussions). I was recognized as national top contributor at 3 schools (Amherst, Mt. Holyoke, Smith).

I worked as a 5th grade teacher at Mylie E. Durham Elementary school, where I taught math, science, social studies, and language arts. I planned and implemented data-driven-instruction, and tracked student performance and growth against targets to maximize student learning. I also collaborated with peer teachers and instructional leaders to create long term plans, unit plans, lesson plans, and targeted intervention where needed.
