I am an LCSW currently employed as a Senior Counselor for the City of Alexandria . I received both my bachelors and master of social work with a clinical specialization from George Mason University. As a university student, I successfully interned over 1600 hours with various human service organizations throughout Northern Virginia. These organizations have provided me the opportunity to engage with clients from diverse multicultural and socioeconomic backgrounds. My experience includes facilitating groups, conducting supervised therapeutic services, treatment plan development, and case management. I have been able to demonstrate and uphold my values to the social work profession and client care by adhering to the standards set for by NASW. When engaging with clients, I use theory centered practice to build upon the strengths of those facing adversity and, empowering them to achieve successful outcomes. Previous supervisors and co-workers have given me praise for my ability to be self-motivated, reliable, willing to learn, and improve from constructive criticism.
