Shaz is a filmmaker and cameraman with around 10 years of experience working across various different genres mainly non-fiction, and many national/international laurels and awards to his name.Educationally, he has a Master’s degree in Communications from New Delhi, a certificate course in Wildlife filmmaking from South Africa and a further advance Master’s in Wildlife film production from the UK along with other certifications in wildlife management and community work in his native India.His formal work is spread across corporates, eco-tourism, heritage organizations and documentary productions but his real calling is wildlife and natural history.His past work includes the BBC’s Natural History Unit, Durrell Wildlife Conservation Trust(UK), The Aga Khan Trust for Culture (Delhi), Discovery channel, The Energy Resource Institute (TERI) and other free lance projects with NGO’s that worked on human rights, environment and societal upheaval as well as voluntary work with Non-profit organizations.This helped him transcend conventional perspectives of just recording/observing pure behavior through the lens of a camera and made filming and story telling much more inclusive.He therefore also doubles up as a part-time educator for young adults and grown-ups living around urban wildernesses to get familiar with their natural surroundings and be more environmentally sensitive.NOTE: Refer to CV for career highlights and employment history
