Sheila has over 30 years of mining environmental consulting experience. She brings a strong understanding of mining to the environmental approvals process having worked at environmental and mining engineering consulting firms, and at a M&A mining consulting firm. She has led large scale, multi-disciplinary environmental baseline studies and environmental impact assessments / approvals processes for many northern Ontario mining projects, in addition to being involved in smaller, more focused studies. Project Manager and/or Principal Author for the Federal and Provincial, Impact / Environmental Assessments and environmental approvals processes for the: Great Bear Project, Upper Beaver Project, West Detour Project, Borden Gold Mine, Rainy River Mine, Young-Davidson Mine, Detour Lake Mine and Victor Mine.Project Director / Reviewer / Author for aspects of other mining environmental assessment / environmental approval projects, such as the: Springpole Gold Project and Marathon PGM Project. Sheila has particular expertise in providing strategic environmental approvals advice and scheduling support for Ontario mining development projects, reflective of the unique Ontario regulatory regime, as well as environmental aspects of scoping / pre-feasibility / feasibility engineering studies. She acts as a Qualified Person for NI 43-101 reports.
