With over 30 years of experience, Sheila Watson has been a trusted advisor in HR and employment law matters for a diverse range of employers. Her extensive knowledge and expertise allow her to comprehend the unique challenges faced by different organisations.Sheila spent over a decade working as an independent HR consultant and trainer, serving a wide array of organisations across various sectors. From 2002 to 2019, she held the position of Employment Relations Adviser, responsible for delivering comprehensive HR support to organisations in Hartlepool. This role was part of a Local Authority project aimed at enhancing employee relations. During her tenure, Sheila collaborated with numerous employers in the town and conducted seminars on various employment topics. In 2018, she successfully delivered GDPR training to many organisations as well as 1500 individuals within the Council.In 2019, Sheila set up her own consultancy, HR Business Plus Ltd, providing HR support and training to a wide range of clients.Throughout her career, Sheila has tackled a diverse range of issues, including contract drafting, policy and procedure development, recruitment assistance, disciplinary and grievance procedures, absence and performance management, TUPE, redundancy and restructuring, and conducting investigations.
