I have a double degree in business and humanities, specialising in Public Relations and Professional Writing, Editing, and Publishing and have worked as a Marketing Coordinator for the past 2+ years at a Business Coaching company called Fempire. I am a passionate writer and have extensive experience writing in a wide range of mediums e.g. social media, articles, email marketing, scripts, trainings, manuals etc. I love to travel and my favourite topics to write about include lifestyle and travel writing, however, I also have extensive experience writing on a wide range of topics e.g. events, job advice, social media, marketing, small business, and entrepreneurial training. During my time at Fempire, I have developed my skills as a copywriter and marketer and was responsible for a number of essential business tasks including: - Social Media Management, including creating and scheduling content, engagement online, and management of Facebook groups.- Drafting, editing & collaborating on articles for Fempire Magazine.- Website design, including updating web pages, formatting articles, and creating landing pages in WordPress and Clickfunnels.- Creating email marketing campaigns & writing promotional copy.Working in a small business allowed me to develop skills in a wide range of areas and taught me the importance of staying organised, creating simple processes & procedures, and managing your own time and deadlines. It was also amazing to work in an organisation that is dedicated to empowering women and helping small businesses grow. Throughout my time at university, I worked in a number of industries including tourism, hospitality, and events. I have completed two professional work placements and occasionally freelance as a copywriter. I enjoy working in events and during one of my university internships, I was able to work on the 2019 Perth Garden Festival. In this role, I was responsible for online content creation, social media engagement, and assisted in setting up and working the event. I also completed an internship with the Curtin University Careers, Employment & Leadership team, where I was able to gain experience conducting interviews, and writing & editing articles. My twin degrees of Public Relations and Professional Writing and Editing complement each other perfectly and have allowed me expand my writing and communication abilities exponentially.I enjoy working in roles where I can be creative and innovative, and would ultimately love to one day freelance full time.
