Operational Projects And Risk Management Intern
Analyzed advancements in MIT's STAMP (Systems-Theoretic Accident Model and Processes) and STPA/CAST (Systems-Theoretic Process Analysis/ (Causal Analysis based on SystemTheory) methodology to enhance safety evaluations at American Airlines, identifying a potential to uncover 30x more unsafe scenarios compared to earlier iterations. Contributed to refining a proposed reporting process aimed at empowering employees to categorize threat severity. Conducted qualitative data analysis from focus group surveys, facilitated discussions to address implementation challenges, and provided actionable recommendations to clarify severity level criteria for investigators. Strengthened expertise in qualitative analysis and safety system optimization, building on prior experience with NASA internships.
