Software Development Engineer in Test for the Expression product family.Expression Blend is a software development tool that makes it easy for designers/developers to design and style the user interface of .NET applications (WPF/Silverlight) and connect the user interface to the programming logic. Most notably I was responsible for testing the Photoshop and Illustrator import features. Designers/developers could take graphical assets that were created in Adobe Photoshop/Illustrator and import them in Blend to use them in their application's UI. I was responsible for automating the testing of these import features and creating test assets to exercise and ensure the results were correct.

Developed test systems and test tools used by IBM server manufacturing in Rochester, Dublin, and China locations. This includes AS400(iSeries), RS6000(pSeries), and Blade servers. Developed a wide variety of test tooling and automated test suites/ test cases for server manufacturing.Notable Projects/Ownership:- Owned and maintained the console emulation software. This software allowed automated tests to communicate to a server on the Manufacturing line as if it was a user entering commands on the server's console.- Developed the software preload system. Wrote and maintained the software tooling used to load software packages that customers ordered on the servers in the manufacturing line. This included writing software that allowed an Ethernet connection to emulate as a tape device that the servers could use to install software for the network. - Project lead for IBM manufacturing convergence effort. Represented Rochester's manufacturing in engineering effort to converge toward using common testing practices and processes across different server manufacturing locations. Started as a staff level engineer right after graduating from college in 1999. Was promoted to advisory engineer and then in 2008 to senior test engineer.
