Sheldon Prentice has 43 years of corporate law experience. Before joining Primmer Piper, he was executive vice president, general counsel and corporate secretary of NBT Bancorp in Norwich, NY for nearly nine years. Prior, he was senior vice president and general counsel for two years at Merchants Bank in South Burlington, VT and he was senior vice president, general counsel and corporate secretary for Burlington, Vt.-based Chittenden Corporation, where he worked for 23 years.At the firm, Sheldon supports corporate, financial services and banking practices throughout New England.He graduated in 1977 from Fordham Law School and in 1972 from Dartmouth College. Prior to law school, he taught U.S. history to American G.I.’s in Germany. He has extensive volunteering and fundraising experience.
