My working life has provided me with extensive experience in the Hospitality & Tourism Industry. Initially spending 10 years in retail customer service in Hotels & Restaurants whilst studying and travelling abroad, I returned home to commence full time with Flight Centre Travel Group (FCTG) in January 2009. In Retail, I was selected by a Team Leader to work with and open Queanbeyan Flight Centre in May 2009, where with a small team of 3, we achieved with Most Profitable New Retail Store in the 2009 - 2010 Financial Year. In January 2011, a move to Melbourne generated a transition to SME with Corporate Traveller. Only six months into the role I was provided with a full portfolio of clients. Due to work relocation for my husband, we moved back to NSW at the end of 2012. From 2013 to 2020, I was a lead Travel Manager for the Australian Federal Government Ministerial & Parliamentary Services Department for FCm Travel Solutions, and 1st point of contact for the Leader of the Opposition. In addition, I worked in a partnership with a colleague on travel management for the Department of Foreign Affairs & Trade, and a small team on all other domestic and international travel requirements. A move to Khancoban, NSW in 2019 for my husbands career meant for the final 2 years on this account, I was in a Work from Home environment full time. In my 12 years at Flight Centre Travel Group, I qualified for 7 Global Gatherings, the world wide Travel Conference for FCTG employees. Two of these attendances were awarded on individual merit. In 2020, due to the COVID19 Pandemic, I took leave from FCTG full time to pursue a personal passion of starting my own business. I solely own and operate a Gourmet Spice & BBQ Seasoning Business, named The Khancoban Kitchen. I also still remain a casual employee of FCTG to assist with staffing pressures and have the ability to adapt and work on multiple accounts, some of which I have never had experience with in the past.I am currently studying a Cert IV in Accounting & Bookkeeping to improve my skills for operating a business, and learn payroll. I have solid experience in administration using Google and Microsoft, introductory knowledge of Quickbooks, and have a talent for learning and adapting to a wide range of applications quickly. I enjoy developing in depth knowledge of programs I work with and finding ways to create efficiency whilst maintaining quality output. Due to my location in remote NSW, I am looking for a work from home opportunity to complement my current skillset and ongoing studies.
