Shelley is the National Managing Partner of Deloitte’s Independence & Conflicts Network where she has overall responsibility for the Deloitte US Firms’ independence regulatory requirements allowing for the optimization of Deloitte’s multi-disciplinary model. She leads a group of more than five hundred professionals including thirty-five PPMDs in Deloitte’s Independence & Conflicts Network (ICN) in resolving complex engagement, employment, and personal independence related matters as well as ensuring that our system of quality control as required by our regulators is designed and operating properly. ICN assists our client service engagement teams and our professionals in navigating the complex regulatory requirements of Independence with a focus on protecting and preserving the Deloitte brand. She is a member of the Center for Audit Quality’s (CAQ) Independence Task Force and represents Deloitte and its clients navigating Independence matters with the US Securities & Exchange Commission (SEC). Shelley is also a member of the leadership team for Risk & Brand Protection (RBP) where she reports to Deloitte’s Chief Risk Officer. In addition to her leadership in ICN and the broader RBP, Shelley is an Audit Partner with more than thirty years of experience advising Technology clients. She has significant experience in the areas of revenue recognition, complex equity instruments, initial public offerings, and mergers and acquisitions. She is currently serving as the Advisory Partner for Progress Software. She is also a former member of the SEC staff, Division of Corporation Finance.
