A key part of my role is to manage Ahead Partnership’s ‘Getting Together with Employers’ programme, part of the aspire2work project. This supports young unemployed people in Bradford, and we give them the opportunity to engage with businesses and gain a better understanding of the world of work while they are working to improve their current skills and qualifications. We make it easy for businesses to get involved in our Employability Workshops and Meet the Business events.I develop and deliver training sessions for volunteers who are mentoring pupils in secondary schools as part of our Make the Grade Programme, and deliver primary school activities such as the annual Education Week in conjunction with The Leeds Law Society.I also manage our Environmental Programme to source and facilitate projects for corporate team building days, ensuring that we support projects to improve and maintain the city’s green spaces.

As a Development Underwriter at Royal & SunAlliance, I was part of the Corporate Relationship Team, responsible for developing and maintaining client relationships with Banks and Building Societies in the North of England. My key responsibilities were to develop and deliver training sessions for our clients, producing and analysing monthly Management Information packs, product pricing and co-ordination of all our clients document requirements (eg policy booklets) and ensuring they all met industry standard.
