CurrentMy role as Chief Executive has responsibility for a large whānau of charitable organisations (see chart below), collectively known as the Wise Group. We are one of the largest providers of mental health, addiction, and wellbeing services across Aotearoa.My work includes: - Overseeing the Group’s equity and asset base, alongside significant contracts for service delivery.- Managing the work of our many entities spanning mental health and addiction services, housing and homelessness services, violence prevention, employment support, education and training, workforce development, research, information services, and software development, community wellbeing initiatives, specialist dementia care, and business support.- Leading the Chief Executives of all Wise Group entities, GMs of several programmes, and over 1500 kaimahi to deliver wellbeing services and resources across the motu, drive research, and champion new thinking based on proven data and evidence.- Managing funded programmes and innovation that supports a diverse range of people and whānau, including Māmā and Pēpi, taiohi, and kaumātua (older people).- Driving a focus not just on risks, but also on the potential of the people, vulnerable populations, organisations, and communities we serve.- Managing key stakeholder relationships including government ministers, Ministry of Health, Ministry of Social Development, Ministry of Housing and Urban Development, Te Puni Kōkiri, MBIE, Ministry for Pacific Peoples, Social Investment Agency, philanthropic funders, Iwi, kaupapa Māori providers, local Mayors and Councillors, and the many NGO partners we collaborate and work together with.Together with the Wise Trust Board, we have committed to ambitious targets and mahi to contribute to the next phase of social justice for Aotearoa. Our organisation is strong and capable and takes a proactive role in creating a health system committed to reducing inequities and delivering on what really makes a difference.
