Provides management with reports and monitoring statistics.Responsible for ensuring all Document Imaging System and scanning equipment receives daily maintenance and is in working order.Participates in software development planning, testing, installation, training, user training, development of policies and procedures and understands the integration of all systems that affect HIM department operations. Maintains a current applications knowledge base used in department operations.Monitors and manages all work queues and troubleshoots system errors. Monitors maintenance of users, record views and all tables in HPF for scanning and indexing. Trouble shoots, identifies DI system deficiencies, investigates difficulties, recommends corrective action and needed enhancements.Resolves electronic unknown, missing documents or invalid encounter numbers, and monitors Index Correction Utility for failures and makes appropriate corrections to the documents.Assist with creating and updating HPF policies and procedures.
