I am amazed when I look back over my career. Our industry has changed and morphed along the way and quite frankly, so have I. I attribute my success to a couple of people who poured into me early in life and in my jobs. One being my grandfather who was a farmer and a very hard working man. His advice... if someone is willing to pay you 50 cents an hour, earn a dollar an hour. Thus.... work hard, earn it and achieve more. Second I would say would be a local retail business owner who truly was the first to see potential in me before I saw it in myself. He trusted me to stretch beyond my comfort zone early in my job, giving me responsibilities that were typically given to full time staff rather than a part time college student. This gave me the desire to dream bigger and have confidence in my abilities even when I am not 100% sure of what I am doing. I continue to invest in my overall capabilities, willing to learn and grow and seek to add value in all that I do. We get one shot at this life, give it your best!l
