I am an experienced educator in higher education with a background of teaching composition and literature, working with at-risk students as well as having experience teaching specialized service-learning courses.My hands-on experience includes working as an adjunct professor at Saint Charles Community College (SCC) and Saint Louis University (SLU). At SCC, I taught freshman composition courses, developmental composition courses, and service-learning composition courses. At Saint Louis University (SLU), I taught freshman and advanced composition courses, such as English 190—Advanced Strategies in Research and Rhetoric as well as literature courses, such as English 230—Introduction to the Novel and English 202—Introduction to Literary Studies. For the eight years prior to teaching at SLU, as I worked on my Ph.D., I taught college credit courses in literature and composition at Fort Zumwalt South High School. During those years, I also taught developmental and composition courses at SCC.🧘‍♀️Who I am otherwise: I love doing yoga, reading, traveling, going to concerts and sporting events (especially STL City), and hanging out with my friends and family.
