Shelly Sullivan is an award-winning public relations professional. She has more than twenty years of agency and government relations experience. She has worked on a variety of earned media projects that have attracted local, statewide, national and international media attention.Having the opportunity to represent a diverse client base, she has been able to work with reporters covering issues ranging from business, environmental, political, education, legal, as well as, working with many editorial boards.Prior to establishing her own communications consulting firm, Ms. Sullivan was the Director of Media Relations for the public relations/governmental affairs firm of Goddard Claussen Porter Novelli. She also served as Director of Communications and Press Secretary for Assembly Speaker Antonio R. Villaraigosa. In that capacity she fostered and maintained relationships with statewide and national press corps members as well as representatives from electronic media outlets. She was also responsible for preparing talking points for the Speaker, and wrote position papers for a variety of statewide issues.
