Hospitality Student Initiative (HSI) is a student organisation founded by students from School of Hotel and Tourism Management at The Chinese University of Hong Kong. Established in February 2014, the mission of HSI is to nurture future leaders by offering experiential learning opportunities and creating a platform for student-industry dialogues. Hospitality students are encouraged to plan, manage as well as run a series of professional events. With joint effort in the team, HSI will help shape a better future for hospitality industry. With HSI’s endeavours to connect the industry with students by providing a professional platform, we believe industry support is essential to the success of this meaningful education programme. In our events, companies can acquire talents and understand youth perspectives. Meanwhile, we strive to deliver and maximize values to all parties concerned. • Ambassador, spokesperson and developer of a student organisation initiated by students from School of Hotel and Tourism Management at CUHK; established to nurture future leaders by offering experiential learning opportunities and creating a platform for student-industry dialogues through organizing a series of professional events. Yearly signature event Hospitality Innovation Conference (HIC) is a 420k budgeted professional conference that receives 300+ student, industry delegates and professionals from Asia- Pacific region.• Dedicated to develop, monitor and execute yearly goals and timeline to create meaningful educational and value-adding opportunities for all stakeholders• Coordinated efforts across 9 departments to ensure successful and rewarding HSI initiatives learning, and events; Secured 240k sponsorship; and 23 speakers from a larger hospitality background during my cohort (2nd). Key sponsorships include Hyatt Hotels and Resorts, Hang Lung Properties, Rosewood Hotel Group, Disneyland Hong Kong, Marriott International, and Ovolo Group.
