Audubon Associates is an organization of leading St. Louis business leaders that are focused on investment in the local economy. Our Practicum project is exploring and analyzing different avenues to achieve local community impact investment. We focused on 6 major areas for the project. These included: Community Reinvestment Act, Opportunity Zones, New Market Tax Credits, Low Income Housing Tax Credits, Social Impact Bonds, Community Investment Trust

• Conducted Quantitative and Qualitative research on healthcare reinsurance projects, launched financial analysis on clients’ products and financial data. Shorten pricing adjustment process on policy writing• Initiated venture capital business model evaluation and fundamental analysis on Series A Funding. Assisted on meeting and interviews with entrepreneurs, and supporting documents preparation• Developed mortality risk prediction model by using Bayesian, decision tree and logistic regression in R. Enhanced risk identification accuracy and optimized case approvals process on automated underwriting• Collected, interpreted, and analyzed large datasets by SQL, R, Excel pivot table and Tableau; extracted and validated unstructured data for model production, boosted back-testing efficiency by ~15%

• Constructed equity research reports on 6 IPOs, incorporating fundamental research and valuation models by using comparable analysis and multiples approach (P/E, EV ratio). Advised clients on IPO share allocation• Generated stock price prediction model with historical data by python, filtered undervalued stocks and provided opinions to assisted company portfolio rebalancing, 60% of stocks in list meet analysis expectation• Monitored portfolio allocations for 9 HNW clients, including trading communication and risk assessments on asset-based and ratio-based. 6 clients’ account outperformed market by 5% over the course of the internship

• Researched on equity, bond and currency markets to identify potential investment opportunities. Gathered market data and analyzed industry trend, with three ideas been adopted into the product portfolio• Built DCF model in Excel to assess corporate valuation analysis, presented weekly strategic insight reports• Arranged ~$1M short-term credit financing for 7 small business clients, assessed credit risk on five Cs and scenario analysis, performed due diligence with updated data and business performance• Communicated with certain groups of customers and offered personal investment insight depend on their risk tolerance• Implemented wealth investment products among the clients and participated in the promotion of market advertising activity developing potential customers, resulting in 1.5% client expansion.

• Created online store through Alibaba and performed time-series forecasting in R. Raise promotion strategies for Taobao singles day sales. E-store has grown to be 20% of company revenue in 2018• Developed quantitative models to optimize inventory and pricing, driving 15% increase in inventory turnover• Led team of 4 associates in planning and executing client’s event, resulting in 5% county retailer growth• Researched and communicated with different clients and resellers groups to raise proposals of inventory decisions.
