I have negotiated and collaborated with a local North East school to work with children and provide feedback to the school about the science of reading development. Furthermore, I continue to set and meet self-imposed deadlines for writing and data analysis shared with an internal supervisory team. - Information Communication and Dissemination: The current project involves me reading and understanding a variety of sources of information related to reading science, statistical analyses and educational development. I read and make notes of the pertinent points from these sources, and attempt to create a comprehensible narrative to be shared with others. This includes the writing of my thesis, an attempt to communicate the reasons for why I am doing the research, and how doing this research will benefit the reading sciences. Furthermore, I have presented my research at various conferences in which I am required to communicate the science of the project in a short timeframe to different audiences.- Data Analysis: My project is a quantitative study which has involved the collection of data from Year 3 children. I have utilised the open-source statistical platform R to complete my data analysis, including investigating correlations, multiple regressions and mediation analyses. Show less
