The GR8 eXpectations Community Learning Program aims to address a gap in service delivery for disadvantaged learners to complete nationally recognised vocational qualification.As a Project Worker:- development of individual training and case management plans- career planning- educational mentoring- program development and the delivery of customised programs- literacy and numeracy testing, marking and tool development- administration duties

Project worker and case manager working to reduce homelessness affecting young people who are transitioning from child protection, transitioning to the community following a period of sentence or remand in a Youth Detention Centre, or are homeless.- case management and joint case management with statutory bodies of disengaged, at-risk youth; including those with special needs;- liaison with multiple stakeholders including family, community and cultural connections;- working with cases of complex childhood trauma, attachment disorders and other mental health issues;- empowering youth through building upon individual strength and resilience factors to reach their goals and address barriers to well-being and permanent accommodation.

Supporting young males exiting detention, in a home-like environment, to meet their Youth Justice Service requirements, reconnect them with family, and meet their goals.

Tasks included:- Provision of client-centred, individual and group counselling service to students across a number of Catholic Primary schools; support to teaching staff, family members and other professional on the implementation of behaviour management strategies for children with diagnosed conditions; self-regulation training for children on the Autism Spectrum.

"Our Family, Our Kids" program provided support, counselling, child development education and skills training to families with at least one child under preschool are and/ or families previously involved in programs involving intensive assistance and work with the Department of Children's Services. 1-2-3 Magic and emotion coaching was also provided in a one-on-one basis to parents/family members.The "Pregnancy Help" program provided Pregnancy Choices counselling and helped women, their partners, and other family members adjust to the consequences of this decision. This program also focused on helping women from CALD backgrounds and remote Indigenous communities prepare for the birth of a child, and support navigating the health system before and after birth.

In this position, I: investigated, analysed and determined claims for compensation under the appropriate legislative acts; administered ongoing compensation cases; assisted in the presentation of information on Military Rehabilitation and Compensation Service claims and benefits to current and former ADF members. Much of my ongoing case management involved liaising with different health and allied health professionals.
