Identified how over 300 labor hours could be reduced with enhancements to the current court case system. • Completed a take home vehicle benchmarking study that identified steps taken by other cities to address rising fuels costs. Example steps included implementing idling policies, purchasing vehicles that use alternative fuel, and reducing the number of take home vehicles.• Conducted a span of control project that indicated the City’s average span of control is 1:5.75. Reviewed all City departments and discovered that their perspective ratios ranged from 1:2.91 to 1:9.60. Identified 13 positions in Transportation & Public Works and 8 positions in Water that could be eliminated for a cost savings of $820,430 and $504,881 respectively. Made recommendations on how to address multiple management layers and some recommendations were implemented. • Assisted with budget preparation for the OAU division. Input data into the BRASS budget system and compiled necessary documentation for budget requests and decision packages
