I worked for 2 companies as a fashion Designer back in 2006-2007. Sometimes in life unexpected things happen and you have to take a back step to make sure your new family is all well. That’s what I had to do, I had my first baby in 2007 and had to stop working and look after her full time as my husband was traveling for his job. I then started my own clothing line Shereenjac, a ready to wear range designed for the outgoing fashionista girl. My designs comprised mostly of dresses and shirts. I was featured in 2 magazines and stocked Babette in Plein street at the time. My family then started growing with 2 more kids and stopped working for a while. I then started creating patterns for a few local women’s and kids designers, which suited my new hours as I now was a mother of 3. My passion was always active wear and that was always something I wanted to create and something I was super passionate about. After all those years of working for myself my new contacts grew and grew. I had dedicated CMT’s that worked with me, after 10 years I still have a great relationship with them. Working for myself helped me grow and learn time management in the most difficult way. Trying to balance family and work in the same space. Now that my kids are older and I have more free time, I can now give 500% to my passion and I am now striving towards my long term goal and that is to supply an active wear brand with my brand. I can say with confidence that I am the most hard working individual, I am loyal and dedicated to my craft. I am creative and experienced. I learn new things all the time and I am open to new experience..
