I initially enlisted in the Army as a Military Police Officer. After attaining the rank of Staff Sergeant I was selected to attend Officer Candidate School. Upon graduation of OCS, I was commissioned as a Transportation Officer. After the Captains Career Course I became a Logistician. I attended Civil Affairs Assessment and I was selected and subsequently graduated the Civil Affairs Qualification Course. Since I became a Civil Affairs Officer, I've worked as a Team Leader, Assistant S-3, and Civil Military Operations Chief, acting commander, and Program manager. I am currently a transitioning Major, preparing for retirement after 23 years 10 months in the US Army.

As a Team Leader, my four man team and I deployed to Herat Province, Herat Afghanistan for six months. Later, I supported SOC-FWD-EE, by conducting a Joint Combined Exercise Training (JCET) in Lithuania.
