About Sheri Mitchell

I enjoy trying out engaging, new ideas, and materials and bringing that part of me into what I create as a Visual Art Educator. My work involves developing innovative curricula, experimenting with new materials, and providing personalized guidance to help individuals discover their unique voices. I believe in the transformative power of art to empower individuals and enrich communities. I am skilled a creating meaningful relationships and designing curricula and lessons that engage students in a love of Art. For the past 5 years, I have collaborated with all the students in my building to create a community art piece that brings everyone together.I thrive on variety, and the ability to create, collaborate, learn new things, and help others. Outside of work, I love traveling, listening to podcasts, and enjoying the outdoors with my dog.These experiences fuel my drive to learn about new cultures, people, and places.
