My journey into entrepreneurship started unexpectedly during my third year in Dental School. The concept of taking risks to fulfil a need or want was entirely unconventional in my family, social circle, or even among my colleagues. But that’s exactly what drew me in.In 2018, I graduated magna cum laude (Excellent with Honors) from the Faculty of Dentistry. However, my first encounter with the market made me question the traditional path. Dentistry, like many fields, comes with challenges—especially for those without financial freedom or unwavering passion for the profession. I realized that without a willingness to take risks and embrace new experiences, success could be elusive.Driven by this insight, I sought unconventional opportunities within the field. My first official role as a lead Dental Operator was in a local dispensary in one of Egypt’s most demanding areas—an opportunity that went against all the advice from peers and mentors. Yet, taking this leap turned out to be one of the most rewarding experiences of my life. It taught me that true success goes beyond skills or intelligence—it requires courage and resilience to stand up for what you believe is right, whether in your career, relationships, or personal pursuits.During this period, I pursued a side hustle as an online fitness coach, training athletes remotely. A few months after the COVID-19 pandemic, I was able to land a position at Egypt’s most prestigious gym, marking a pivotal phase of my life. My mornings were spent training the country’s elite, and my evenings were dedicated to serving the less fortunate. This contrast opened my eyes to a broader understanding of fulfillment and success—it became clear that there was more to life than simply working a job or remaining in a traditional career.By early 2023, I decided to follow my entrepreneurial calling and launch Happy Guerrilla as a fully remote digital marketing agency. With just 1,500 EGP (around $30) as the starting investment, I founded Happy Guerrilla with a vision to redefine how brands connect with their audiences. Our approach is rooted in the principles of guerrilla marketing, combining creativity, strategy, and innovation to achieve impactful results.One year later, Happy Guerrilla has transformed from a remote startup into a full-fledged agency, growing into a 7-figure business. Providing 360° marketing solutions, including social media management, content creation, and media production. Our mission is to empower businesses to stand out in their industries and build meaningful connections with audiences.
