I have been in the sports industry for over three years. During this time, I have continued to not only be a champion for Black Americans in baseball, but have also learned the art of networking and growing my outreach to learn as much as I can to not only give back to those in need, but those in our community that are overlooked. My adventures in sports has continued to not only grow me as a woman in the field of sports, but as a person. The people I meet have lead me to want to grow in the industry and help people share their stories so that they may inspire others to not quit in the face of difficulty. I know as someone who as struggled off and on in my personal and career life, that having someone there to be your champion and guide you to growing is like a ripple effect. Each thing that we do to help someone leads someone to help someone else. Every story, tear, and message gives at least one person the courage to keep going and try something new is enough for me to keep going and help the next person.I believe that we are here to help others and what that looks like is different to everyone, but I am thankful everyday for the opportunity to serve the underserved athletes in my community and help others grow in sharing their story!
