Department Assistant – Pathology Tracker
Current• track pathology status from time of biopsy for 5 Breastlink Centers• email benign/high risk/positive path reports to Radiologists • update pathology tracking system; Magview and reconcile reports for Audit• follow-up on outstanding path addendums• call RP office to confirm path report receipt and also confirm biopsy recommendation reports• follow-up on outstanding biopsy recommendations as well as other tracking dutiesOn-Site Scheduler Lead•schedule general Ultrasound, X-ray, MRI, CT, Fluoroscopy, Biopsy, and Mammogram appointments•answer phones, confirm appointments, notify patients about deductibles•work the TBS queue, schedule Walk-in’s•work with Dr. offices on: scheduling STAT’s, RX and Authorization issues, Radiology CPT codes •ensure that studies have been scheduled properly by others at our location; if not then must correct•enter in Rx’s into eRIS (electronic medical record system) by creating appointment shell, then call patient•cover lunches at the front desk: check-in patients, burn CD’s, take payments, etc•fill-in for on-site manager when out of officePatient Services Coordinator Lead•Front Office: Check in patients / take payments / verify auths / update insurance / create patient packets / update patient information / answering phones•Medical Records: create patient jackets / CD uploads of OSF / scan OSF reports / hang sessions•Scheduling: scheduling general ultrasound and mammography appointments / appointment confirmations / work TBS queue•Insurance: trained on eligibility, verification and authorizations, contact insurance companies•CPT codes: provide Radiology CPT codes to Physician offices•Training: train new associates on EMR software, policy and procedures•EMR: Electronic Medical Records software used is RIS
