Provided legal advice on complicated and novel issues that arise in charges of employment discrimination in 53 field offices across the country; reviewed Supreme Court decisions, proposed legislation, regulations, guidance and policies to determine their impact on the Commission’s statutory mandates, existing policies with respect to Title VII, ADA, ADEA, and EPA, and nationwide charge processing procedures; met with high level officials of the Commission and other government agencies regarding complex legal matters with nationwide impact; presented the effect of Commission’s views on Title VII, ADA, ADEA, and EPA issues to various staff, including high level senior executives; presented the provisions and impact of newly enacted legislation on nationwide charge processing and investigations to various staff, including high level field senior executives; prepared written analyses on complicated legal and procedural matters that affect nationwide charge processing and investigations; won numerous awards, including the Chair’s Excellence in Leadership Award, two Chair CORE Awards and numerous Chair Organizational Awards.

Represented the Office of General Counsel in mediations, public speaking engagements, agency meetings and meetings with other federal agencies. Chaired EEOC Headquarters Local Partnership Training Committee for two years, bringing in renowned civil rights speakers to present various viewpoints to EEOC staff.

Oversaw all legal matters in the Office of the Chair, and supervised the attorneys in the Chair's Office. Legal matters included analysis of cutting edge cases recommended for litigation,legal policy documents submitted for approval, and federal sector cases containing novel legal or policy issues. Also analyzed the draft regulations under the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990. Briefed the Chair on these matters and advised the Chair on which actions to take.
