ConsultantWorld Health Organization Apr 2009 - PresentSince 2009, I have been a consultant to the WHO on several projects within the Infectious Hazards Management Department as part of various working groups to improve the clinical management of sepsis and other severe illnesses in resource-constrained settings. I am one of 8 overall technical editors for the WHO Integrated Management of Adolescent and Adult Illness (IMAI) District Clinician Manual and have helped to develop the IMAI Quick Check+, a related training course focusing on triage, emergency management of severe illness and the clinician’s role in disease surveillance, infection control and outbreak response. In addition, during the 2013-2016 Ebola outbreak in West Africa, I was deployed by the WHO to assist in the clinical management of patients with Ebola Virus Disease (EVD) and mentor health workers caring for EVD in Guinea, Sierra Leone, and Liberia using training materials and a curriculum which I helped develop for the WHO. -
