As part of the Federal Consulting Practice, Ms. Woldu has applied business process improvement and strategic planning to consulting federal health agency clients • Led client meetings with Puerto Rico’s Department of Health (PRDOH) on next steps for implementing the NEDSS Base System (NBS) that allows healthcare professionals and government agencies to communicate about disease patterns and coordinate national response to outbreaks. Collaborated with the Center of Disease Control and Prevention and PRDOH to expand NEDSS and adopt the standards so that speed, accuracy, standardization and viability of data about diseases is improved• Reviewed business process models to support the development of the Application Service Provider Service for Puerto Rico’s Department of Health which included researching top diseases affecting the island and creating a phased plan to incorporate the diseases into the system • Collaborated with past NBS stakeholders (Vermont Department of Health, Texas Department of Health, Alabama’s Department of Health) to produce a “Best Practices for Implementing the NBS in Puerto Rico” where best practices were shared for a successful transition to the NBS. • Created a Training Guide Curriculum for a four-part course gives an overview of the NBS, an introduction to users, page builder, and explore NBS analytics and advanced messaging.

As a policy and intervention research assistant, Ms. Woldu worked exclusively with a team of five experts in the Global AIDS Program to matriculate, plan, and draft a manuscript surrounding the issue of effective policy and interventions for MSM in resource-constrained settings. • Performed extensive research detailing best practices for interventions targeted towards msm in Asia, Africa, Lain America, and the Caribbean’s. Using the UNAIDS criteria for interventions, we placed the intervention into different categories. • Created and set deadlines for a team of five reviewers; communicated through weekly update e-mails and corresponded through weekly email reminders to kept the systematic review on track • Worked with the University of California at San Francisco to cross check sources and used research data to make recommendations on direction to take the paper • Analyzed a spectrum of interventions to see how access, treatment, and care for msm in these regions can be improved. • Interfaced with various experts on HIV and msm around the globe to receive more information on interventions
