SABAL: Sustainable Action for Resilience and Food Security program implemented by Save the Children together with its consortium partners in Eleven central and eastern districts of Nepal: Makwanpur, Sindhuli, Ramechap, Rasuwa, Nuwakot, Kavre, Sindhupalchok, Dolakha, Khotang, Okhaldhunga, and Udayapur, and is funded by USAID 2014-19. The Decentralized Rural Infrastructure and Livelihood Programme (DRILP) is continuation & is being implemented in 18 hill and mountain districts of Nepal. The Project is funded by the loan and grant financing of ADB, OFID & grant of SDC.The CDS is responsible to the Team Leader of CISC & work closely with & in close coordination with other members of CISC. The specific tasks include:(i) Advise & guide district team overall & particularly social mobilisers in raising awareness, Building Groups & community of the need & importance of community development activities of the project.(ii) Support District Team in preparing detail work schedule for implementation of EMP, RP, IPP and GESI-AP so that they are in compliance with project guidelines. Provide training to DISC Team/DPO in preparing sub-project wise plan and perform field audits.(iii) Provide guidance to the District Team to ensure that the implementation of the selection,construction and operation of Community Infrastructures follows project guidelines & that they are in accordance with all project requirements. Monitor & follow on any situations where remedial actions are required.(iv) Monitor the implementation of EMP, RP, GESI-AP and IPP in the districts on regular basisand also see that the district team complies with the requirements of ADB's safeguards Policy Statement (2009) and brings to the attention of DPO/DTO and DDC of remedial actions to be undertaken in this context.(v) Advise BGs, Contractors, District Teams, DPOs and DTOs so that the all activities are completed in time and ensure that public hearing and audits are conducted on regular basis.(vi) Monitor the performance of social personnel of District Team and submit the assessment on semi-annually to the Team Leader.(vii) Together with Senior Engineer compiles the monthly reports of individual districts andforward them with notes to Team leader.(viii) Contribute in preparation of various reports by CISC for PCU and ADB as required.
