● In my current role, I am leading a team of technical marketing & business planning personnels to research new markets for company’s products. Promoted equipment for MRAM (PVD, IBE/RIE), Advanced Packaging (PVD), & Wafer Bonding markets. Also promoted micro-focus X-ray source for IC inspection market.● In my previous role, I led a team of 25 engineers & 3 managers to support 15 customers in USA & over 70 manufacturing equipment. Established robust business processes & improved working efficiency. Successfully negotiated business deals with customers. Started new business activities to increase revenue. Brought the engineering group to profitability to achieve multi-million dollar revenue & large net income. These activities were recognized by Canon USA’s President & I was awarded “Special Recognition Award”. I also installed a PVD development tool & metrology tools in the fab to start local R&D activities.

● In my role of Engineering Manager, I led a team of 10 engineers to support 8 customers in western USA & over 40 manufacturing equipment. Addressed customer issues in efficient ways. Presented technology updates to customers & worked with them to improve their processes/equipment. Achieved large revenue & profit for western USA business group.● In my role as a Process Engineering Manager, I developed various processes such as, - MgO based magnetic tunnel junctions for MRAM & hard disk industries. - CH3OH based RIE process for magnetic materials etching - PVD metal gate deposition process for high-k dielectric based CMOS - Si, SiGe, Si:C epitaxial deposition process using UHV-CVD - PVD, RIE, & IBE processes for patterned media disk

In this role, I was in-charge of thin film deposition laboratory where I mentored numerous graduate & undergraduate students. I used pulsed laser deposition (PLD) & various characterization techniques to research several materials in thin film form. The highlights of my research include -● I studied spintronics & diluted magnetic materials such as Co:TiO2, Co:ZnO, & Co:SnO2● For the first time I realized epitaxial Ba2Fe12O19 films & showed that they exhibit microwave losses comparable to single crystals. I also showed that by applying a proper buffer layer, the stress in these films can be virtually eliminated & a number of spin resonance modes can be excited.● I was the first to report superconducting MgB2 thin films by vacuum deposition technique● I also studied thin films of many other materials including, complex perovskites such as (La,Ca)MnO3 & Sr2FeMoO6, Fe3O4, & YBa2Cu3O7● Rutherford backscattering spectrometry for thin films analysis● Worked as a consultant for MRAM company to research technology & relevant materials
