As a Team Lead at DAS42, I am responsible for managing both internal and client-facing teams.On the internal side, I manage a team of analysts and act as a coach to help guide them through their professional development and advance their careers.On client projects, I work with client stakeholders and a varied internal team to design and implement cloud-based data and analytics solutions based on our client's business requirements. Our solutions vary in scope and often include data engineering, analytics engineering, ETL/ELT, business intelligence, and data visualization tasks using tools like GCP, Apache Airflow, Snowflake, and Looker.

As an Analytics Consultant at DAS42, I worked with client stakeholders and an internal project team to develop data and analytics solutions to meet our client's business needs.My work in this role included various aspects of the hands-on work needed to build and implement our solutions. My typical project tasks included working with client stakeholders to define requirements, writing logic for the extraction, transformation, and loading of data using Python and SQL, using SQL to restructure data tables to support our reporting needs, building backend business intelligence logic in Looker using LookML, building and maintaining dashboards and data visualizations, and mentoring less experienced project team members on solution architecture and best practices.

As a full-time master's student in the area of Business Analytics, I learned methods to compile, clean, model, and analyze data with a focus on finding solutions to business problems. The program also included a significant statistical component where I gained a stronger understanding of the mathematical reasoning behind analytical methods. Among the courses I completed were: Advanced Data Analytics, Statistical Methods, Structured Data Modeling, Unstructured and Distributed Data Modeling and Analysis, Optimization Modeling, Mathematical Statistics, Process Analytics, and a supervised internship course.

As part of the Hardware Integration & Testing team at Uber, I helped to provide full service pre-release hardware testing to teams across Uber. Our team provided end-to-end testing services from planning and test design through test collection and final reporting. Our tests produced quick and effective proofs of concept for teams experimenting with new technologies and methodologies.

In the transition from Bing to Uber methodologies, I maintained my role as Readiness Coordinator until the successful completion of the Streetside project. I was tasked with leading a final push to complete our final collection goals, while coordinating the return of all vehicles to Colorado as they finished their work. Once this was done, I worked on a team to uninstall all equipment, then ensured that all vehicles were returned to our supplier.I then shifted to a quality support role in the new project. In this role, I learned new systems in order to install and test them. I also worked on scheduling system tests, processing the data these tests returned, and providing feedback about the processing tools to the software development team.

Acted as the Coordinator of the Readiness Team on the Bing Maps Streetside project, ensuring the preparedness of all vehicles and drivers to reach collection goals on an ongoing basis. My role involved database management, scheduling, problem solving, working cooperatively with other groups both inside and outside of the program, and solving logistical puzzles, among other things.This role evolved during my time in the position, due in large part to my ability and willingness to take on more responsibility than was previously expected of the person in this position. I became the representative for our department at daily and weekly meetings, the author of the weekly newsletter that went out to all drivers and operations personnel, and played a significant role in a series of special projects within the program. These projects included scheduling, coordinating fleet movement, managing Office 365 and SharePoint sites for our drivers, creating training materials, and attaining permits for collection.The size of this project and its fast pace also required all of us in the Operations Department to work together to quickly find solutions to a wide array of problems that surfaced in a typical week.
