I have the pleasure of serving on the Youth and Young Adults Connections Team in which I co-lead a coalition of Southern cities in their efforts to reengage Opportunity Youth. These efforts take advantage of the collective impact and focus on meaningful systems-change to bring workforce development and wraparound services to disconnected youth who have fallen through the cracks.- Leads at-the-elbow support for 7 cities’ collective impact work driving systems-change and operationalizing city-wide capacity building efforts to reengage disconnected youth in the context of local policy infrastructure- Translates data and synthesizes best practices to support municipal leaders in conducting gap analyses, service alignment, and continuous quality improvement processes in the creation of sustainable infrastructure reform- Oversees the NLC Reengagement Network of 700+ national members and 2 peer learning groups driving innovative and evidence-based approaches to system reform efforts and troubleshooting practice challenges- Drives team growth through increased project management protocols, multiple new coalition working group initiatives, and re-conceptualizing existing practice and operational strategies to improve CQI delivery- Standing member of the National Youth Employment Coalition Policy Committee and Data Learning Committee

• Created codebooks from school district data on vendor lists to create understanding of district funding distributions• Conducted market research in education publishing and compiling reports to deepen perspective of market landscape• Researched trends in Education Finance Incentive Grant distributions across states to understand state-level politics and finance formulas• Investigated state legislation and regulations on professional development standards and policies

- Developed 10-module curriculum for mental health and education courses for high schoolers based in Dialectic Behavioral Therapy and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy practices- Oversaw and engaged team of 10 interns in meaningful projects and content development - Provided capacity-building technical assistance to school counselors, teachers and administrators- Supported program monitoring and evaluation plans, and developed surveys and conducted focus groups- Contributed to the development of strategies and practices to improve program effectiveness and efficiency- Created content for and oversaw social media, website, and marketing efforts as well as grassroots fundraising- Customized promotional sales content and established relations with roughly 300 school partners and clients

Child Advocates works to recruit, train and support volunteer Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASAs) to work one-on-one with foster children, providing critical emotional and educational support, ensuring each child’s needs are met and their voice heard while navigating the court dependency system.
