Hello and Bonjour,My name is Shirin and welcome to my LinkedIn...🔎 Where I was?I went through 12 years of public school being the shy one in class. I had low confidence and was afraid of putting myself in new experiences whether it was joining a school club or a sports team. I was an introvert who had a lot to say but lacked the courage to do so. I did not know what I was working towards. I did not know my WHY? 🦋 Where I changed?When I was starting university, I was overwhelmed by the thought of a new institution, friends, and stage of life. Then I thought to myself, maybe this challenge brings a hidden opportunity my way. It is my chance to start over- a clean slate. I set goals to reinvent myself, make like-minded friends, and take opportunities to experience new things during my time in university. And so, I began to take action…🎯 Where I am now?Through my active participation in extracurriculars and business case competitions, I developed skills such as leadership, public speaking, time management, being flexible, and relationship building which are transferrable to any line of business. Since I graduated during a global pandemic, I have dealt with uncertainty and helped bring value to small businesses through my role at the City of Brampton. 📍 As I continue to navigate the challenges brought forth by these unprecedented times, I hope to grow personally and professionally.
