CurrentI am part of the AWS Supply Chain system which is responsible for the timely delivery of all the equipments across the AWS Data centers in the optimized and timely fashion in order to ensure its smooth functioning.As part of this org, I have led several projects across various domains of the supply chain:1. Lead a team of 6 people to build Generic Approval system which is the single authority for all financial and non-financial approvals required to purchase goods and services across the entire supply chain. 2. Lead a team of 3 people to build a communication system to exchange documents like invoices, purchase orders etc with third party vendors in the industry approved formats like EDI, XML etc. This resulted in reducing the time to onboard new vendors to the AWS Supply chain system from 12 weeks to ~3 weeks.3. Lead a team to build systems for automating the process of managing the budgets for AWS spends and deprecated the legacy monolithic systems in the process. This also resulted in removing the 6 weeks of manual work involved in creating a single budget.4. Worked on building rule engine to provide approval recommendations to business and finance folks before approving any procurement.
