Sayce Holmes-Lewis is the CEO and founder of Mentivity, an organisation that has impacted over 25,000 young people across the UK, Barbados, Kenya, Uganda, and Zambia since 2016. Mentivity’s holistic mentoring approach has earned recognition, including the 'National Mentoring Programme of the Year' award (2019) and the Mayor of Southwark’s Civic Award (2020).With 26 years’ experience as a sports coach, educator, youth worker, and mentor, Sayce’s passion for youth development and social justice is personal. Having been assaulted by a Metropolitan Police officer at 14 and subjected to over 40 stop-and-searches, he is committed to fighting systemic and institutionalised racism. His 2020 viral video of a wrongful stop-and-search led to a partnership with the Mayor’s Office for Police and Crime (MOPAC) to develop police training on counteracting racism and improving cultural competency for both the Metropolitan and City of London Police forces.In 2022, Sayce launched a 4G football pitch on the Aylesbury Estate, supported by Reiss Nelson and Arsenal legend Ian Wright, providing free access for young people. In 2024, Sayce established Mentivity House, also on the Aylesbury Estate, where he grew up, providing a new youth club and a safe space for youth and community development. In partnership with Spotify, he co-produced "The Centre" directed by acclaimed filmmaker Adeyemi Michael, a film highlighting the role of youth spaces in shaping UK music culture and underserved communities.Sayce’s work has earned him the 'Most Inspirational Person of the Year' at the MBCC Awards (2022) and the University of East London’s 125th Anniversary Celebratory Award (2023). He also serves on the London Policing Board alongside Mayor of London, Sadiq Khan, tasked with holding the Metropolitan Police accountable for institutional racism, misogyny and homophobia. In 2024, Sayce was named one of the "25 Top Black Entrepreneurs to Watch" by HSBC UK & the UK Black Business Show. Having secured £1.25 million in funding for Mentivity from partners like Goldman Sachs, Spotify, Hogan Lovells, Avanade, Hellman & Friedman and Sky, Sayce continues to champion community empowerment and equity across London and the UK.
