Under the direction of the Director of Administrative Services or designate, I was responsible for By-law research (Procedural By-law updates, processes and practices); updating the Code of Conduct for Council and Committees of Council; creating & distributing Planning Notices as per the Planning Act; counter assistance at the Clerk’s Division; and special projects as directed.

As one of ten Ontario Municipal Management Interns placed with municipalities across the province, I was fortunate to spend an intense year-long professional internship with the County of Peterborough that included a six week placement with the Ministry of Municipal Affairs and Housing. I worked with the senior management team across the corporation gaining experience in all aspects of municipal administration. Following is a brief list of some of the projects I worked on. • Created a Social Media Strategy (draft)• Drafted an analysis of the results of the Ministry of Municipal Affairs’ Chief Administrative Officer forums in Eastern Ontario• Analyzed year-end budgets, and future projections to create a lifetime unit cost per tonne for the County landfill• Worked with the CAO, and the Emergency Management Coordinator to develop a Business Continuity Plan
