BSSI is simply a place for young string students to learn, read, play and perform music over the summer months. Currently it is financially supported by the Reading Music Foundation. We have 5 professional string performers and teachers that collaborate to teach both technique sessions and large group ensemble. It meets one night a week for 6/7 weeks and culminates with a concert. We typically have over 120 participant from 12 different school including public, private and home schools.

I teach beginners through higher education bound students. Many have achieved the musicianship and skills to win auditions for school placements, higher ed acceptance, scholarships, and festivals such as PMEA All State ensembles.

I have taught young beginners through students students entering higher education. Several students have won acceptance to outstanding schools of music, scholarships and festivals such as PMEA All State ensembles.

Principal tuba and booking agent for an active brass quintet that performs 20-30 times a year in the greater Lancaster, PA area and Southeastern PA. We perform ceremony music, concerts, reception music and for special worship services.

Lancaster British Brass Band performs about 4-6 public and private concerts a year. I play Eb tuba. The band is made up of some of the finest brass players in the greater Lancaster county area.

I conducted and rehearsed two concert bands in the summer. They meet weekly preparing on 3-4 shorts works of music for a culminating concert in early August. They have had as many as 300 participants from the community and schools of Berks County, PA.
