Shannon fell in love with the performing arts at a young age. She had her first taste of the stage in sixth grade as a Maid In Waiting in The Wizard of Oz (Don’t remember that character from the movie? Well, that’s because it was made up so everyone who tried out for the play could have a part!).Shannon’s one line was all it took to have her hooked on performing. In 1993, she began her hosting career as an anchor for Plano Portfolio. She considered the job a huge honor and only found out years later that she simply got the part because the station director thought she looked like Amy Grant and not because of her natural talent as she had assumed!After graduating from Texas A&M with a degree in Finance, she pursued a career in stocks and bonds. While she loved her experience in the financial world, Shannon was ultimately drawn back to her performing past. Through connections she made in the acting and hosting world, Shannon discovered a whole new industry – Conventions! The excitement and energy of the trade show floor was a perfect fit for Shannon's skill set and she quickly found herself at home presenting in front of large groups of attendees. Shannon likes to say that she knows a little bit about a whole lot with the knowledge gained from presenting about Toyotas to plumbing supplies and everything in between!In between trade shows, she finds time to show off her acting chops. Shannon has recently had the pleasure of working on camera for Abacus Plumbing, Time Warner Cable, Sysco, Waste Management, The City of Allen, and many others. Shannon has been a featured guest on such shows as Good Morning America, The Today Show, The View and E! Entertainment. You also might have caught a glimpse of her in national commercials for Anheuser Busch, Nascar, Albertson's, and Dove.Shannon spends her days exploring the country with her husband, acting, working conventions, managing tours, and chasing after her two puppies, Avery and Stanley.
