• Leading a team of 3 officers and 10 employees to manage the operations and to analyze the process of one of the most efficient blast furnace of India (GBF, TSL).• Implemented Sig Sigma tools to achieve the best ever coke rate (328 kg per ton of hot metal in FY’16) in the history of G BF Tata Steel, with a significant reduction of 25% over the previous year; achieved recurring savings of INR 500 crs. p.a.• Implemented Benchmarking practices and SPC(Statistical Process Control) tools to achieve best ever coal rate(206kg/ton of hot metal in FY’16) in history of Indian Blast Furnace, with a significant increase of 33% over the previous year, at Tata Steel G BF; achieved recurring savings of INR 127 crs. p.a. • Implemented Lean and Kaizen tools to achieve 17% increase in throughput of coal injection plant, G Blast Furnace.• Pioneered Indian benchmark for utilization of pellet in GBF through process visualization and modelling; affected recurring savings for INR 55 crs p.a. • Spearheaded in formulation of Annual Business Plan, Business Operation & Strategy, Standard Operating Procedures, and contractor/outsourcing management.• Coordinator of Total Quality Management (TQM) at GBF – Motivated the employees to achieve 100% participation in initiation and implementation of KAIZEN projects. • Accomplished production of 10million ton of hot metal (pig iron) in TSL Blast Furnaces; first ever in Indian Blast Furnace history. • Collaborated with BlueScope Steel, Australia to solve problem of stave failures through process improvements and sharing best practices. • Developed a new KPI known as Notch Ratio to quantify the raw material distribution profile in Blast Furnace; Improved process efficiency of Blast Furnaces by 5%. • Exhaustive Benchmarking of process and production parameters across all Indian and Foreign Blast Furnaces. • Represented TSL in International seminar on Operational Efficiency to Optimize Hot Metal Cost at JSPL Raigarh.
