Vice President Communications
CurrentWork closely with the President & CEO, and the government affairs and policy departments, to develop and implement annual strategic plans for communications that advance understanding and support for Medicare Advantage.Develop and execute BMA’s strategic communications campaigns around the organization's health policy issues for stakeholder audiences.Manage a communications team and outside consultants.Serve as the organization's primary spokesperson with media, communications officials andstakeholders. Build and maintain relationships with members of the media.Manage public media events, including coordinating the President & CEO’sspeaking engagements.Write press statements/releases, op-eds, talking points, blogs, and speeches.Oversee BMA brand reputation and leadership profile, managing the rollout of public-facing materials, including blog posts, policy briefs, research reports, e-newsletters and other communications tools.Play a leading role in planning the BMA annual meeting, including production, agenda, speakers, and paid sponsorship.
