Expanded support for both data movement crawling efforts.- Implemented Compounded SMB operations that provided 10x improvements over small file and metadata transfers over SMB.## Faster Restore to NFS/SMB Filerso Improved upon existing data restore (from a backup) mechanisms which targeted new / un-configured data appliances post a disaster/recovery process. The restore process was even more sensitive to various target issues. My enhancements made restore a much smoother experience.o This feature allowed the customer to rerun a prior failed restore (let’s say due to incorrect creds, perms etc) not having to reprocess the entire backup tree.## Data ProxyThis allowed our customers to better manage all Igneous traffic by routing the data and control traffic via a dedicated gateway.## Generic / Commodity Platform Adoption (Golang, docker, kubernetes, IPMI, SAS devices)- Adopt more easily available platforms like Dell, HP, SuperMicro etc.- A de-centralized Kubernetes (PV) Volume Controller to survive a network drop and offline nodes. These controllers could expose local drives as block volumes to respective containers.- Disk probing & auto discovery / zero-configuration architecture. Hot-swapping of Kubernetes volumes and lifespan of storage service pods.- Enabled remote management protocols like IPMI and SMASH to better manage appliances.- SAS Backplane and Expander scanning and discovery.
