My core passion is storytelling, whether as a journalist reporting from the front lines, a writer creating worlds from above, or as a performer living within them. I hosted my 1st TV show & had my first byline at 16. I've worked at the Smithsonian Institute, National Geographic Traveler, & traveled the US as a journalist reporting on the cultural & historic value of our National Heritage Areas (akin to UNESCO World Heritage Sites). I became the 1st female TV Correspondent for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia & other channels in Asia/Africa/Middle East reporting from the United Nations, the White House, & the 57th floor of the Empire State Building. I wrote & sold a sci-fi comedy adventure movie to Nickelodeon & starred in a Bollywood film that was released in 100 countries worldwide.I served as one of 8 Red Cross ambassadors & on the National Youth Council for the American Red Cross, traveling from St. Louis to San Francisco giving motivational speeches to young girls and have been a poet and speaker with UN Women & UNICEFI know what it's like to be an imaginative, enthusiastic, & resourceful young woman & have your dreams and vision be put down. I want girls to feel like they are the stars of their own stories & take pride in their perspectives. I wrote/performed a piece about my own struggles as a 12-year-old girl with scoliosis that can really resonate with issues that millions of women face today regarding self-worth. We cannot read the same page to ourselves every night. It's up to us to change our narratives from "I could have done this BUT..." to instead..."I did do this DESPITE..."
